New Tasmanian’s mobile yarn store a catalyst for post-traumatic stress disorder healing

Jaymi Milic admits that starting up a mobile yarn store is an unconventional way to tackle post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  

“[But] it is working … I think it has helped me a lot,” she said.

After spending the past 20 years trying to “heal her head” using medications and psychological treatments, Ms Milic has finally found her “biggest therapy”.

Her shop, based in a converted horse float, lets her spend time crocheting and spinning while chatting with customers who share her interests.
