Seventh man charged over alleged gangland killing in Bondi


A seventh man has been charged over the alleged fatal shooting of underworld figure Alen Moradian, last year.

Moradian, 48, was found dead inside a car in an underground car park on Spring Street, in Bondi Junction, on June 27, 2023, at 8.30am.

Police found a burnt-out Porsche in Bondi Junction, and a burnt-out Holden Cruze in Zetland, a short time after.

Today, Strike Force Magnus detectives attended Newcastle Police Station, where a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder and participating in a criminal group.

Police allege the 21-year-old was a “key player” in the shooting of Moradian.

“We will allege in court this man was the driver of the getaway car who drove the shooter to and from the crime scene and assisted in destroying each car as they fled,” Detective Acting Superintendent Virginia Gorman, said

“We will further allege – with this man now charged with his involvement – detectives have charged the key players involved in the killing of the Alen Moradian.”

Six other people have been charged in relation to the shooting, and remain before the courts 

The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody and will face court today.
