Shontae Cassin: 12-year-old girl last seen in Warnbro missing as parents raise fears


Police are searching for a 12-year-old girl last seen in Perth’s southern suburbs as her parents raise fears she has been taken.

Shontae Cassin was went missing from the Hillman area — near Rockingham — on Sunday morning and she has not been heard from since.

On Tuesday night a police spokesman confirmed there was a potential sighting of Shontae in the Warnbro area.

She is without a phone and only a laptop and her parents fear the worst after she failed to meet a friend at Warnbro Station as planned.

Her parents told 7NEWS she had been messaging people on Discord — a chatroom platform for gamers — before she vanished.

“They can use it for other things and there are predators and they’re not monitored,” her mum, Tegan, said.

She added they were concerned Shontae had been taken. Her friends know the girl as Shontae Castano.

“She is known to frequent Rockingham and Perth CDB areas,” police said.

If anyone has information or sees Shontae they are urged to call police on 131444 and quote CAD 059110.
